Founder, Directors
 
Miriam Chandy Menacherry:  Founder, director of Filament Pictures. Has had the experience of writing and directing for several international channels including the National Geographic Channel and BBC World. Her film `The Stuntmen of Bollywood’ was nominated for the most innovative film at the Showreal Asia Awards and her popular series `Back to the Floor’ won the Indian Television Awards for `best business series’. Her socially relevant brand of programming has won critical acclaim. Following her post graduation from the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, New Delhi she worked for two years as a correspondent with CNBC. 
 

Paul Vincent Menacherry:  Co founder and director of Filament Pictures. A chemical engineer by profession Paul discovered a new passion for camera. He was the cinematographer for Filament Pictures first two productions Circles in the Sand and Mee Koli. Today he handles the legal and financial aspects of running Filament Pictures.

 
 
Creative Consultants
 
Susan Zachariah:  Has been an editorial and creative consultant for Filament Pictures since 2006. She is a freelance consultant for digital moving picture technologies. She is also an Avid certified instructor and part time editor for long form documentaries. She has previously worked with Iowa Public Television, part of the PBS network and as executive producer and director with Goldwire Pictures.
 
Hari Domal:  Has done the fine cuts and been a creative consultant for most Filament Pictures films. He is currently a promos producer in Zee Music. His promos have won Promax Golds.
 
Sagar Solgama : He began by assisting Susan on edits and went on to edit the two short films made under the Filament Pictures banner.
Having completed Avid Media Composer course Sagar works as a full time editor with Wise Guy Entertainment.
 
 
Associate Producers
 
Leena Desai: Was the Associate Producer on `Mee Koli’, Filament Pictures tribute to Mumbai’s first inhabitants, commissioned by the Public Service Broadcasting Trust (PSBT). She was a researcher on the film and had become a well known figure in the koliwada where she learnt about the koli way of life first hand. She went on th assist Miriam on the film and take some stunning still photographs. Leena went on to work for 2 high profile reality TV shows - 'Business Baazigar' for Zee TV and 'Indian Idol 2' for Sony. Currently Leena is an Associate Producer on a documentary film for the National Geographic Channel for their series 'Seconds from Disaster'.
 
Biplab Singh:  The associate producer on the ongoing documentary `A light burns ’. He has researched and co ordinated the shoots in the forests of Jharkhand and Chattisgarh. He has previously worked with MTv as an production assistant. He has studied Mass Communication at St Anthony’s College, Shillong.
 
Trupti Kanade:  Researcher and Asst Director on The Rat Race. She spends time with the night rat killers to understand what can be shot ? She also finds new leads, goes on recces and collects archival material that adds to the layered narrative of the film.
Previously worked with documentary filmmaker Anand Patwardhan in researching Dalit protest music. Alumnus from Sophias Social Communication Media.
 
 
Camera
 
Sunny Joseph: Was the DOP of  `Robot Jockey’ for the National Geographic Channel. His most well known work Piravi for Shaji Karun won several international awards including the Cannes. He continues to be a much sought after cinematographer  for feature films.
 
Sameer Mahajan: DOP for A light burns. Sameer is a graduate of FTII, and has worked on several Award winning documentaries including ‘Journeys’ which was nominated for best cinematography at the Madrid International Documentary Festival.
 

Brad Dillon: Was the DOP to shoot the final races for Robot Jockey. He has shot many National Geographic documentaries and won the Australian Cinematographers award in successive years.

 
 
Writer
 
Mathew Menacherry:  Has been a researcher, writer and creative consultant for Filament Pictures on several of its productions. His novel that he has been writing over 3 years is soon to be published by a well known publisher.
 
 
Music
 
Kartik Shah: Composed the original soundtrack for Robot Jockey. He composes for the Feature film industry in Mumbai, ads and documentaries. His original scores includes the feature film ‘Gafla’ which has won critical acclaim internationally.
 
 
Camera and production assistant
 
Sunil D’Cunha:  Has been a camera assistant on most Filament Picture films. He has been in the Mumbai media industry since the past 8 years working on several documentaries as well as a few feature films.
 
 
Sound
 
Indrajit Neogi:  Has done the sound for most of Filament Pictures films. An alumni from the FTII, Pune Neogi is an accomplished sound engineer for several well known feature films, television series and documentaries.
